This is not for splitting big logs! The purpose of this little unit is for splitting already split wood into kindling and small logs. I get my wood delivered in 3 - 5 cords already splt. But I need to break some of it into kindling and to smaller logs for the wood stove. I'm 62 and I have tennis elbow. After thirty years of wielding an axe the tendons in my right arm are shot. This little baby makes it easy to get that small firewood to get the stove going.

16 wanks at it to get the first chunk out? Which consumer pays the money for this thing? When I split wood, I swing once, and I get one piece of perfect, fireplace-sized wood... my axe cost me 49 dollars, 12 years ago...
I wonder how much this device costs? maybe ill look it up. Certaintly more than 49/12.. (FOUR DOLLARS annually...) *I PISS more than that per month.* Dont pay for what you are physically capable of doing yourself!

. Maybe the deeper question is, whether or not this device is what it claims to be? My daughter can split wood better - than this contraption, and she's six years old.. Drives a wedge, and cranks on it till it splits... That's what earning your keep is, and she'll tell you so! My child has more patriotic heart than 80 percent of this crap that's on the net today. It's a SHAME to ALL OF YOU who don't know what being self-sufficient is!
