I use a cutting tool which cuts in the right places. I do not fold back the braid, it makes it too hard to twist on the BNC. As long as you are using a cutting tool which leaves the braid neatly in line with the end of the foam this works.

can i use this bnc twist end on RG6 cable?

this video is good too see however it would help to have some measurements on where to cut. The ones in the video are very vague.
My concern is not getting the centre cable touching the pin in the tip of the twist on connector.
