This panel discussion at the Haas School, UC Berkeley, is part of the "Fiscal Wake-Up Tour" sponsored by the Concord Coalition. Participants: David Walker, Alison Acosta Fraser, Alice Rivlin, and Robert Bixby. Moderator: Dean Tom Campbell. (March 5, 2008)
The University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business is one of the world's leading producers of new ideas and knowledge in all areas of business - which includes the distinction of having two of its faculty members receive the Nobel Prize in Economics over the past 15 years. The school offers six degree-granting programs. Its mission is to develop innovative business leaders - individuals who redefine how we do business by putting new ideas into action, and who do so responsibly. The school's distinctive culture is defined by four key principles - question the status quo; confidence without attitude; students always; and, beyond yourself.

For some reason people view economics as about as interesting as dirt! I used to, and now as a parent, American, and a concerned citizen, I understand our need as a nation on the issues of our debt.Thank you for trying to bring this information which we are all in dire need of. I watched I.O.U.S.A. tonight at a local theater and hope everyone opens their minds to working together and not be partisan about the defecit we are building for our children and finding solutions for their future.
