Now download MP3 here: http://www.ergonica.net/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_music_info&cP... . Ray Cruz uses the Yamaha MO8 keyboard synthesizer workstation with a mellow organ voice to experiment with JS Bach Invention No. 2. The organ voice (Bell DX) lends to a different style of phrasing than with a piano voice. Some notes are held longer, some pauses are added to clear the echo, etc. I chose an organ voice that was very sensitive to dynamic touch. This new Yamaha keyboard, features 22 more keys than the Yamaha MO6, is much more sensitive to touch and dynamics than my 20-year-old Yamama Clavinova CVP-30 sitting in the background. The MO6 and MO8 enjoy all the same wonderful sounds and tools. The MO6 also has an octave up and down button to reach above and below the middle range of 66 keys. If I didn't need to play my classical piano repertoire every day, the MO6 would be a great solution, smaller, lighter in weight and cheaper in price. Whether you chose the MO6 or MO8, it's a gas!

  • Oh many it's great to hear this played not at a robotic, monotonous tempo for a change! Fantastic job.

  • @romulo560 Glad you enjoyed it ... still working on various interpretations just for fun!

  • Very nice job!

What speakers do you like with you mo8??

  • @Iamtubuler Thanks! I'm using the M-Audio BX5a . Recommended by the Guitar Center, where I purchased the MO8. Great sound for my home studio.

  • Piano Invention is a misnomer is it not? considering they were written for Harpsichord. beautiful rendition by the way

  • @Scrubsobsession Thanks and yes, the title is a misnomer. Sometimes I play this on a harpsichord voice, just to get a sense of the original interpretation.

  • Hi I would like to ask you some questions about yamaha MO8. If we contact you by email

  • It is enjoyable learning from the masters! Each of the Bach inventions is a great lesson in itself.

  • One of my piano teachers a few years ago told me to get Bach's Invention #2. I bought it, then couldn't afford the lessons anymore and as I look at it, I couldn't remember why he told me to buy it. Watching your video reminded why I should be practicing it - Independence for each hand!

    Thank you!

  • Thanks! Please feel free to share any music you perform, as well!
