DollyWood Christmas 2008 Part 1 (of 2)

This is our trip to Dollywoood back on December 16, 2008. We got the tickets from Coca-Cola Coke Rewards (took about 1000 points). And the room was free too!!! Gas was not tooo bad at $1.45 a gallon this week!

It was rainy that week, but we went on Tuesday, and it was the only day that week that did not pour down rain in Dollywood! It was overcast and drizzly, but otherwise great!

In this video, Part 1 of 2, this is from 1 pm to 5:30 pm. We start out by going to see the 4D movie "The Polar Express".... then over to ride "Thunderhead" and "Mystery Mine". We eat at the "Potatoe Shack" (Restaurant of the Brave)... Then over to the "Tennessee Tornado" for a spin... then put out the fire at "Blazing Fury". We then head over to the Carnival ride area and ride some of the happy-go-pukie rides there. We then go back toward Blazing Fury to see "O Holy Night"... then over to see the "Carol of the Trees" (we have 1 song on this video, then 1 other on the next video).

Dollywood is my home away from home and I'm missing it more than ever right now. I really needed this video today. Helped a lot with the homesickness. lol My family and I always go at Christmas every year but this year we can't.

i went last week and it was too cold for the rollar coasters to function. :( no one was there, it would have been perfect...

It was a great day there! A little rain that kept the place pretty much empty for most of the day.. until later that evening! Go find part 2 and enjoy the parade!

Yes, I've ridden Blazin Fury. It is a fun ride, not a THRILL ride, but fun nevertheless... something like a disney indoor roller coaster... for kids.
