Aren't Badgers known for fighting off Bears? DAMN, if a Bear won't even mess with a Badger...I got chased by one once...it was scary.

Badgers won't take crap from anything because it get's on their nerves. They can dig, bite, run around, jump and shake off all kinds of poisonous bites. They are also mad because we make shaving brushes from them, (how humilitating). I am not sure if they would make a good pet though.

I thought this video would be about a badger getting high.

I grew up on a farm in Minnesota. There were lots of badger holes at the sides of roads, but I never saw one. I was told they were extremely dangerous and that they could outfight anything twice their size. I always kept a safe distance!

I guess it would be impossible to keep one as a housepet? I know people sometimes keep skunks and ferrets, also mustelids, but badgers wanna dig and can be a lot more dangerous. Plus I doubt someone could get a permit in most states to keep them. We don't have badgers in Pennsylvania, but I would love to be able to interact with them. There aren't even any at the Pittsburgh zoo. Super animal!

I read a book about badgers by a guy named Earnest Neil and it was more about Meles Meles.
At one part in the book he mentioned a case where a cow was burried by a badger??? how is that possible?
I'm jelouse I want a badger so bad, maybe one day I will see one : )
So badgers can be tamed ?

They can be trained, but not really tamed. They still hiss and bite.

interestingly, i would say they can be tamed, but not trained.

@BaadRam They can be trained to do certain things for treats (like stand still for their harness, go into their crate, etc.) It's all about food...
