Star Ocean 4 The Last Hope Ethereal Queen/Iseria Queen Battle

I know they're finally calling her "Ethereal" Queen now but I'm so used to the old-school VP1 localization that I'll probably just call her Iseria out of habit. Like Gabby, she has three forms where she shows 2, 4, and 6 wings. This is her first form and therefore her "weakest", but yeah. Still very intimidating. After making this I fought her other forms, and her 6-wing form took me about 30 minutes to beat... so no Youtube vid of that one any time soon.

Depending on your AI the difficulty of the battle varies immensely. The big problem comes when she starts using Supernova, which pretty much kills everything within a wide range of her. Apparently she uses Supernova if her current target is not close to her. Well, unfortunately the AI has a nasty habit of running in and out of melee range, so it can trigger Supernova. Furthermore sometimes Iseria gets really cheap and uses Divine Wave (which knocks everybody back) and then launches straight into Supernova.

If you're wondering why I put in Lymle, it's because she has BTs for "Defeat Iseria" and "Defeat Iseria in 10 Minutes". Sadly I didn't get either one, it looks like to get it you HAVE to land the last hit with Lymle. Plus, Iseria nullifies all elemental damage, and guess what, ALL of Lymle's techs/magic are elemental, so it's either use regular weapon attacks or use item cards (hence why I kept using the Extinction+ cards). I didn't find this out til after making it but apparently you can tell when Iseria is near-death because her Rush gauge stops going down; if I had known that I would've put Edge/Reimi on manual or some such and just attacked with Lymle. Oh well. Subsequent fights I put in Myuria for heals instead, but holy crap, whoever designed Myuria's AI needs to be fired. I can't count how many times she died because instead of healing Myuria decided to run in and try and hit Iseria with her staff.

On December 12, 2012, all of the main characters from all Tri-Ace games are going to meet up on this earth and have one last battle to determine who is the strongest out of all of them. Lenneth, Capell, Edge, Jack... all of them. That is going to be one awesome day...

as much as i love lymle and used trinity blaze every battle. the EQ is the one fight where she shouldnt be used...

not that i dont like this game, but star ocean till the end of time was 100% better than this. but i like the improvements on this one too. uhm. if only maria traydor was here, this game will be perfect
