WARNING: This baby's cup of Groove Juice runeth WAY over!!!!!
The flipside of "Rock Around The Clock" that's not heard nearly enough.
Am I biased? Hell yeah - this is my favorite Bill Haley cut. Calypsobilly with greasy heat feet!!!!! :)
Another that I risked life & limb to get from Jim Russell's Records on Magazine Street, New Orleans. CLEAN copy!

I also have this on a reissue. An MCA 45. I have both this and "Rock Around the Clock" posted. You oughta check that out. BTW, as you continue your uploads of the great recordings you found on your trip to NOLA and Memphis, i can't help but wonder-are ya gonna re-post Dizzy's "Ool-Ya-Koo", since you got the white label promo of it? Or will you leave well enough alone?

Yep - first had this as a "rainbow" label MCA re-issue as a tike back in the late 1970's myself. :)
As for the white label promo of "Ool-Ya-Koo", I am indeed going to do a "follow-up" post featuring it. It's hilarious - after not seeing but ONE copy in 28 years and NONE on the open market, I've now seen SEVEN 78rpm copies in the past 4 months. And that promo was not only the first record I set eyes on on my first visit to the LMF, but it was the ONLY Diz 78 in the store! LOL!

Thirteen Women was the original A-side to "Rock Around the Clock" in 1954, but was relegated to the b-side when Clock became the smash in '55 (following its appearance over the opening credits of Blackboard Jungle).

got this on 78 too.the other side'rock around the clock' is my all-time favorite song and record.this song was originally the a-side release, but the other is the most well-known tune ever, and historic one too.
