holy crap!!!!!!!!! i just got into french language and began buying books and dvds on how to learn it and french films (horror and dark dramas) and while looking at reccomentations for the french film irreversible i came across this read the reviews but no trailers this is my first time watching the trailer and i cant wait to see it it will surley be more disturbing than your mainstream horror films and i dont consider french new wave extremity to be gorno just more hardcore films from the heart

this movie is probably about the female exploration of her own body blah blah..but to me seems like one of those Lars Von Trier type movies like Anti-Christ, where they take body mutilation etc too far in order to create some kind of message. Not my cup of tea, and brings to mind pretentious...

I also know cutters. I am quite close to a couple of people that self-harm. People without severe mental problems do not mutilate themselves to the extent that happens in this film. There is a huge gap between self-harm, and complete self-mutilation.
