  • @General4474 He makes no money from this. The JREF is a non-profit organization. Frankly, the applicants themselves make themselves look stupid since they cannot do what they claim they can.

  • this makes me so sad, because now that he is disproving so many things that once made me feel excitement and wonder and awe, I dont know how to find that spark in life, its like, the more I learn about the world the less enjoyable it seems...

  • @betthisonesfree You're not looking in the right places. If you want to be amazed and awed, there is PLENTY in science in nature that will do just that - the origins of the universe, how stars form and die, exoplanets, the theoretical possibilities of extra-terrestrial life, neutron stars, evolutionary biology, how a living cell functions, the complexity of the human brain, psychology, future technologies, etc. We don't need crazy, unjustified beliefs like ESP to fill us with wonder.

  • "Norman, would you allow an electrical engineer to take a look inside the box?"

"Most certainly not! Then people would know I'm a complete fraud!"

  • I do love how Randi is making fun of them but in a polite manner.

  • these people are dangerous and should be stopped because they give people false hopes and say they can cure them when some people need proper medical treatment

  • @betthisonesfree find the beauty in reality and nature

  • @betthisonesfree

What is horrible about it? And if you want to feel happy, seeing a fake world, read a fantasy book. Just bare in mind it isn't reality.

  • @General4474

Except Randi made no such absolute statement. He literally says he is unsure of the result. He didn't force these people to come on his show either; it was their decision.

  • @General4474 You are one deluded moron.

  • @betthisonesfree While there are people who do bad things, it's up to you to do something about it and just try and make your life as happy as you can while helping others better themselves whenever you can. We've all heard the saying life isn't fair, it's cause it isn't. You can't feel connected without an invisible being somewhere out there? I'm sure you can, you just gotta look around.

  • @betthisonesfree Well, there isn't a shred of hard evidence for a god so I don't see a need to believe in one. I mean, if you really don't have the will to better yourself so that you are strong enough to do things for yourself then a god could help you, but it's just masking the unwillingness to take total control of your life and make it better for yourself. People really need too see that they can do many things without a god. World is only as horrible as you make it out tobe

  • @General4474 How was this rigged? He asked him how the machine works, show that it works, and it did not. The guy was and is a fraud, as Mr. Randi has shown them to be. Nothing else is left to be said.

  • @TheStarvingSamurai ok, that is funny I get it, but what about something like god? Im agnostic so I dont know what there is out there, but I believe that there has to be something outside of our perception that is all good in a way, I think of it as the center of all existence, but if we use science, then that great belief I have that makes me feel more connected is ruined! How can I know which is better, to see a fake, happy world or a true, horrible one?

  • @betthisonesfree I once believed in bunnies that farted pixy stick candy, but it turned out to be fake. Gosh, I sure wish they didn't show that bunnies can't fart pixy dust now I have nothing to believe in to make me feel tingly inside! Damn science, always trying to make me see the truth in things!
