Wonderfully done - both the mechanical/engineering aspect (as I write down ideas to try ;) ), and artistically! For the triple set of raising claws, does each rising claw trigger a gate on the claw below it releasing the ball into the next one? And do you have any detailed video of the multi-ball releases? I'm doing something like that (in a very different medium), but your method looks much smoother than mine.

At the end of the video is a somewhat close-up view. The vertical shaft rotates 3 balls which have bearings around the balls at an angle. So the claws not only go up and down, but tilt back-and-forth. No gates. This was quite a trick to get it all working smoothly. If this does not answer your question well enough, let me know, and I'll try to tell more.

Brilliant work. I love these rolling ball sculptures and this is one of the most innovative I've seen. Some excellent use of mechanical movements rarely seen in sculpture, and the use of light and sound enhance it beautifully. Well done.
