The Aark usually treats around 5-10 orphaned red foxes each year, and 2011 was no exception--but one of this year's litters was anything but ordinary. At a mere two days old, these kits were so small when they were originally found that the rescuer first took them to the Montgomery County SPCA--because she thought they were kittens! Once properly identified, it was off to the Aark, and our cameras picked up the story from there. Eavesdrop on these kits' rapid development, as they go from blind and bottle-fed to eating solid food and destructively playful in just a few short weeks. Since this footage was shot, all four kits featured have since been released... and who knows, maybe headed for a backyard near you!
