@lilypog: it's a low whistle. It *IS* a penny whistle on steroids, actually :-) Same fingering, easier to play than a flute, has a nice sound.

Very very very very very very good indeed. You moved me, really. The song is beautiful indeed, but the rendition is charming and amazing and moving. Simple yet wonderful. I like it so much. Thank you, for sharing this piece of your beautiful music and of your beautiful heart. Thank you, really.
A big ciao from Italy.

Great song guys. We jammed with you out in Skerries on Paddy's day and the day after a few years back! Come back to Skerries! Great craic altogether

What a delightful recording of a moving song. Mark, I've enjoyed many of your harp videos. Great job!
A fellow harpist...

@MarkHarmer damn..... so far away. So far I only sing and play bodhran, tho. Good luck.

Just beautiful! What is the wind instrument? Sorta looks like a penny whistle on steroids! LOL!
Gorgeous sound!

Just beautiful!
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. I expecially like the harp in this song.
Is there possibly an instumental version of this song, without vocals? The vocals are great as well, but to me, an instrumental version would be so much more soothing. The kind of song I'd listen to while lying in bed, to enable me to drift off into a peacful, pleasant sleep

Thank you! I love the harp too, but then as the harpist I'm biased! We do sometimes add an instrumental "verse" of this sometimes when we perform it live. I do think it's a great tune and one of my favourites that we play.

Is that the same chap as the one who plays the fiddle on other stuff? Now playing woodwind? Is he general all-round genius, also in national football team and leading army in Afghanistan?

It's the same guy - he also plays bagpipes on one of our other videos. When he's not out meeting the Pope, etc...!
