4) S.Aishwarya, (aged 13 years and studying in eighth Std ),Great Grand Daughter of Smt M.S.Subbulakshmi , accompanies her Grandmother.

Aishwarya has been learning Carnatic Music from her 4th year with her Grandmother. From her 5th to 7th year she was also trained by Sharanya Krishnan , disciple of Smt Suguna Purushottaman . She is currently under the tutelage & guidance of Karnataka Kalashree, Vidushi Jambu Kannan, since 2002.

Aishwarya has also been learning the Veena since 2005 from Vidwan A Shankar Raman , disciple of Late Rajeshwari Padmanabhan (of the illustrious Karaikudi Baani)

Yes. Balamss, you are right. However we have given credit to Indira Devi. But Indira Devi was considered by many as an avatar of Meera. In most of her bhajans the name Meera appears. Even in this bhajan the last charanam she sings " Hai Kripala Nama thero , Sunke Meera Aayee"

MSS had a long association with Ma Indira Devi and her guru Sri Dilip Kumar Roy. Almost every year MSS and party used to visit their temple in Pune and learn songs from Sri DKR. I have been fortunate to see Ma going into bhava samadhi and dictate songs that Ma had heard Meerabai sing! (To begin with, Ma did not know Hindi much!). I have seen Ma dancing for some of the songs that MSS sang in front of her. Almost all the Meera bhajans in the Hindi film Meera were taught to her by Sri DKR.
