I sort of disagree with you. Whenever I've made criticism of Linux or have seen others do so, there is a ton of hate messages that follow. And there are plenty of Linux users that will not use any non free software. Hearing Richard Stallman and other FOSS advocates talk is like hearing someone spread a religion that denounces the opposite of what they believe.

Although I think Apple fan boys are worse and more stuck up.

I use Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Really, there are some Mac users who can't look at a PC without having a meltdown.

There are some Windows users who just don't care about Macs and hate Macs.

Then the Linux users seem like the only mature ones who don't insult them.

They're all good. Who cares what people think of what computer you use? They all can get on YouTube, get a iLife. Get a Windows Live. Just stop saying one brand is better.

I feel for ya dude. Mac user of 16 years and I have recently been focusing on the PC side of things as I do use both systems on a regular basis and repair a shit tone of PCs at work. So I naturally got a custom tower and all the Mac users at work think I am an idiot for using a PC. Well damn, I need to be diverse in my skills and this is the shit I get from Mac users? Cult is right on the money dude.

Oh yeah, and I'm a died in the wool Maccer, who really doesn't give a crap about which platform people use (content is King, Queen, courtly priest, jester and janitor), so long as they have learned enough to make an well-informed choice, and that, if they choose Windows, they are as tenacious as a rottweiler about keeping the virus/trojan/worm demons at bay.
