@steelersfanhawaii also, since I-280 runs parallel to the Bayshore fwy (US 101) and as you said, only a few miles to the east, why don't south bay commuters to downtown SF simply drive a few extra miles to the east to pick up I-280 rather than fight the congestion of the 101? Seems like that makes sense :)

looks like this freeway for a major urban freeway seldom encounters traffic jams, I never saw any on-ramp metering in this video

Thank you for watching! Makes you a tad bit home sick I bet, eh?

Excellent footage, Brent! Thank you for sharing it. Great commentary, too :)

You should go back and make a new video, the recent rain has made the scenery lush and green, makes my daily commute that much more enjoyable :)

Ha, perhaps in the next month or so, I may just take up on your recommendation. It's definitely one of my favorite urban freeways in the country.

I should go back to California and drive this freeway. I never went on that one. Thanks for showing!

This truly is one of the great urban drives in America. There's also some fantastic scenery to check out, just off the freeway.

Hard to believe that is an "Urban Freeway", love the curves and elevation changes with 8 lanes, it must be fun tom drive.
Great soundtrack too.

Yes, and it's a freeway that I've literally seen, thousands of times in my life. I never really appreciated it, until I started driving around the country, and realized how unique of a route it really is (for an urban area).
