English version????? please
-
I don't get my answer.
-
Hai, all speckpeople!
I must buy this machine, but does the sampleconverter works on an Intelmac?
Who will give me that answer?
Cyriel.
-
Hiya, yes you can but you have to prepare the voical sample correctly. Then each note plays a different part of the sample and the arp treats it just as a sequence of notes.
-
Dear Jorg.
So I can put a voicesample in the machine.
Can the arpeggiator play with it?
I miss some examples with audio on the site.
Yes, I heard the kitchensounds. (cool).
Your music and machine is great!
Thank you.

What I love about this video is that it shows how well the Spectralis can be used for Film FX and effects in music. Would love to see more videos like this!

Can you connect a turntable into the inputs of these machines and sample, i'm not to sure, doesn't say it in the specs. Also can it trim or truncate samples?

@TheReasonableLogic
You need a phono preamp to connect a turntable directly. Samples can be truncated at the beginning but sample editing should be done before using the samples in the Spectralis. The Spectralis reads multisamples. You can reach different truncated versions by selecting them for example with different keys or velocity layers.

@SCHAAFJOERG Thanks for the info. I'm going to make a purchase soon, but before I do I just need to make sure that it has the ability to capture samples live from an external source, instead of using a computer to drag files. I'm not computer based at all, and it would be helpful if I could at least capture, trim and truncate external sources by ear to use within the machine. Please respond in a pm. Thanks

@TheReasonableLogic
Sorry - but that is not possible!

can the internal sampler sample or resample these sounds? or sequenced sounds/rhythm? thanks!

No, but sample editing and optimising can always better be done on a large computer screen. After recording the sounds on a computer you can convert them into the Spectralis format and drag and drop the samples onto the Spectralis memory. Then the samples can be used in the DSP synth engine or the drum section as waveforms.
