Derek Jeter 3,000 Hit (full at bat and celebration)

Derek Jeter's 3,000th hit goes into the left field bleachers of Yankee Stadium on July 9th, 2011. What a day to be at the Stadium as The Captain goes 5 for 5, hits a HR for hit number 3,000 and then collects the game winning RBI as the New York Yankees defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 5-4.

I live in Massachusetts-30 miles outside of Boston. All the Red Sox fans call Derek Jeter "Slappy McSingles." All I recently heard is how he just slaps singles all over the place and that he is overrated...... The day after he hit his 3000th...crickets....I walked into work and sat at my desk only to have my boss put a coffee on my desk and then say, "shut-up" as he laughed walking away. BEST DAY EVER!!! LMAO!
