It's been awhile since my last video, but to make up for the long wait I have something special! I played at the new Singer/Songwriter Evening in Munich last weekend, held at nice little establishment called Stragula. I shared the evening with two great musicians and friends, John Scrivo and Matt Checker. Needless to say, it was recorded.
So...Friend of the Devil. This was actually one of the very first songs I learned once I had the basic chords down, back in 1989. I learned it from a neighbor, "Across the Street Pete" I called him. I've pepped it up a bit since then and have given that main riff a bit of a bluegrass feel (Jerry Garcia was a bluegrass lover, remember Old and in the Way?). It's one of those songs I've never grown tired of playing and perform it at nearly every gig. It's better now than it's ever been. Enjoy.
