This video contains images of hunting some viewers may find disturbing. Intrepid food writer Stefan Gates is in Cameroon to take a closer look at the issues surrounding illegal bush meat and the killing of endangered animals. Interesting video from BBC travel show 'Cooking in the Danger Zone'.
@Terilyn04 I apologize on the behalf of the people of Africa trying to feed or provide income for their family in any way possible. Hopefully they can find a 9-5 job and shop at a supermarket like us normal folks!

If selling the bushmeat is illegal, it is still irresponsible of the BBC to do this program. And the people selling the illegal bushmeat certainly should be jailed. Shame on YOU! Get a clue yourself. If an animal is on the endangered species list, killing it for bushmeat will mean that soon this species will be extinct.

@Terilyn04 They weren't shooting illegal bushmeat. Selling it was illegal, not shooting it. Jailing people who kill the animals? As they said, it is for SURVIVAL. Please gets clue. And shame on you for being so stupid.

@thestreetsempty Although that's true, the only reason humans developed into homo sapiens is because we started eating meat which allowed our brains to grow.

if we didnt eat meat all the animals we eat would die out, as there will be no need to keep breeding them. Why have a field of grazing cattle when you can grow more nuts.
