great question ghostintheshelll, mmmm i'd say......to have "on hand" in case one breaks down in one of those old mechanical music machines inside an old merry-go-round.
could be used as a demonstration of music that's a "touch off"
or to show off "the future in vending machine technology"
or to reinforce that this idea albeit impressive will still sound bad.
sure ain't to impress the ladies!

I suppose that the real thing, even if mechanically played, is still better than a synthesizer.
isn't it amazing how great our hands are? This guy put together an amazing contraption, obviously spending tonds of cash, only to prove that it is almost impossible to replicate the human hand. Amazing job on putting this together either way!
