I really like the film. Yes, the acting was very weak but the storyline and the atmosphere were great. 'Splice' is definitely one of the most underrated Sci-Fi films of the decade 2000-2009 (along with Supernova, Mission to Mars, The Cell, Ultraviolet, Equilibrium, Cube 2, Alien Lockdown, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Serenity, The Cave, Signs, Hulk, Terminal Invasion, Avatar (2004), A Scanner Darkly, Ghosts of Mars, Moon, A Sound of Thunder and The Chronicles of Riddick)

whoever says this is like species your so wrong.. this is gene makup nothing to do with aliens and this does not look like a human its whole life like the species .. and this cant shapeshift into a human and yes while i admit it has a cautionary element that is similar.. this is not species .. btw species rocked and this movie ... ehh not so much hahahaha but i love the idea of playing a hand in evolution
