Russian Navy Sails for Venezuela

WONG:
The celebration the international day of peace promoted by the UN was held in many countries on Sunday. Over in Indonesia a candlelight vigil was held to honor peace.

STORY:
Everyone held a candle or a banner to celebrate Indonesia Night Peace Reflection 2008 marking world peace day in Indonesia.

During a 40 minute candlelight vigil, participants sang songs of peace and then enjoyed listening to guitar music.
Some held up a white banner over 30 feet long full of peace messages from participants.

From this event we can see that Indonesia is very concerned about peace. Everyone needs peace. So we raise peace as the main issue. We are trying to show that peace is crucial to human life.

[Putri Hutadjulu, Candlelight Participant]:
We can see that young people are concerned. Everyday they're busy with their own business. But when talking about peace, they come to support.
