  • @Marchant2 What is there to get? Voting is the right of every citizen. Illegal immigrants don't have Constitutional rights and that includes the right to vote.

  • @WillSerenity How many times will you have to hear the facts before you get it? But I do believe you do get it and you're just another Right Winger who wants to "take back" America by telling anyone who isn't like you to go to hell.

  • I love how they turn it into a "party" issue. There is nothing wrong with having to prove you are a citizen. Voting is a right of CITIZENS. Not every Tom, Dick, and Jose that walk into the booth. Besides, part of the Indiana law is that the State will GIVE you an ID free of charge. All you have to do is pick it up. Is that so hard?????

  • All a drivers' license proves is that you are legally able to drive, not that you are a citizen.

I am from Indiana, and I think it's a really dumb law that my legislature has put forth. Who needs to know exactly that I voted? Isn't it enough that my ballot is in the box? Or is it now that my vote will be tracked? (As if it's not...) But voting is an absolutely fundamental right as a citizen, that I do agree with.

  • Every American citizen has the right to vote.

Its your own responsibility to make sure you have some kind of proof to show that you are a citizen.

I dont drive but I do have a non drivers ID.

    It only cost me $15.00.

When i moved to a new state. The first thing i did was to make sure i had some proof that i was a resident of that state. After that I registered to vote in that state.

This isnt a Republican or democratic thing.

    Its a law abiding thing.

I take my rights very seriously.

  • Repugs steal our vote with Diebold machines, & disenfranchise us with these ridiculous hurdles. Thank the Dems for allowing the bastards on the Supreme Court. The gov. "for, by and of the people" is as "quaint" as Geneva Conventions. The USA is dead & our founders are rolling in their graves. We'll be OK as long as we wear our made in China flag pins & gays don't get married! I pray I live long enough to see the people take this gov. back from the aristocracy that plays with us like puppets.

  • Its a no win situation. My state requires identification when voting. But I know sure as shit no one is going to intimidate me to make a specific vote.

  • Everyone should contact the campaign of their candidate of choice and get signed-up to be a poll watcher. This will be used as an excuse for voter intimidation throughout the country.
