  • I met Ed in New Orleans at a jazz bar. After being approached by everyone in the bar and not being able to enjoy the music, he got up and walked out but as he walked by my friend and I who had not wanted to disturb him, he placed his hand on both our shoulders, leaned in and said, "I appreciate you guys, you boys have a good night." and he walked out with his group. A real gentleman.
