I'm a bit disappointed in the comments.
The song is gorgeous. This isn't about who sings it better! Don't miss the point. None of these artists should be jealous of the others. Realistically, I doubt they are.

I listened to Chris Rice's version and I still have to say who is Chris Rice? Clay sings with more heart and soul.

Never heard Chris sing, so I youtubed this song; he has a pleasant voice but I believe his real talent is in song writing. I prefer this version for the vocal performance.

Michael and Clay are jealous of Chris's mad writing and singing ablities! seriously leave his song alone! unless you're going to do something new and orginal like having a woman sing it. or a group of guys and girls. my school's elite choir, Victory, (i go to a Christian school) sang this song and they have guys and girls and it was beautiful and not an imitation of the orginal but taking a beautiful song and putting a new twist on it. no offense to any Clay or Michael fans!

Clay singing any song is beautiful.
But when he sings about religion, something amazing happens to him. An already incredible voice transforms into that of an angel.
You can feel the love of God in every note, every word.
