Ghana's Third Republic is brought to a violent end in 1981 by rogue elements within the nation's armed forces. The Coup d'état was led by Flt. Lt. Jeremiah John Rawlings (born. 1947) of the Ghana Air Force.
In 1979 Rawlings had been freed from prison by Major Kojo Boakye-Djan and other junior officers after a failed mutiny. The subsequent coup resulted in the establishment of the Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (AFRC) with Rawlings as chairman.

Rawlings is a hero - he did what had to be done in order to get the country on track. We need more men like him in Africa.

@peasah2005 No they were documented a during his presidency and after. Yea I'll agree with you on Nkrumah's achievements, Rawlings can't be compared to Nkrumah's achievements.But I believe Busia would have best all of them if wasn't for Acheampong's greed.

Also, Nkrumah did a great service to Ghana better than the rest after him.

Well, what about when bombs where throw across Ghana and if it wasn't Nkrumah then the madness that went on, there could've been so many casualities.
I don't think Nkrumah would be evil enough to be involved in these so-called ritual killings.
The documents you claimed about Nkrumah having these involvments of these so-called ritual killings surely they aren't the haters of the NPP and NDC are they?

@peasah2005 I thought you knew, any way there were documented files that proves his involvement in ritual killings conducted by Nkrumah himself and dozens of corpes including one pregnant woman and one Dede, a Ga woman nicknamed after "granulated sugar in the Ga language" who was also a CPP leader of the makola ladies, which were found in the castle after he was overthrown.

No, Nkrumah didn't murder anyone.
Nkrumah was more in-tune with our people in Ghana than JJ Rawlings.
Rawlings was totally in-human, he brought total chaos in Ghana and didn't do anything to change the face of our country.
Nkrumah brought a new life into our country, he improve our schools, colleges, hospitals, cocoa farms etc; because he made Ghana safer.
