Want to know why Vijay and Michelle Wie hit it good. Well I am not going to give it all away, but at least take a look at this video which show their that they make a similar motion with the club. My new book/instruction manual of the Slammer shows in detail how to become deadly accurate. email for details.

  • the bent wrists upon and after impact is the result of hitting down, and yes even with the driver, contrary to popular notion that you're gonna sky it, you will actually drive it farther......Fairway Jack has it right, it is a throwing motion, think of it as hurling the clubhead right at the ball......study Fred Couples' swing and you'll see the throwing motion.....

How about thank you posting this video tigerbolo.

You are so, so right. This is one of those myths that theorists love to talk about--the bent right wrist/flat left wrist all the way to the finish, "holding off the release," blah blah blah. Every great swinger of the club releases the clubhead from the hands and forearms. The better they are, the better the arms, torso, and legs support that motion, and the less noticeable it is as a separate motion.

but michelle is bent right wrist at impact and bowed in the through swing .. i think we're looking at 2 different points in the swing... the extra kick in clubhead spead comes from precisely that inversion angles . If one tries to hang on to the bent right wrist all clubhead speed is lost.. not to mention any kind of ball flight

  • 160-170 pounds????

  • haha she's fat

  • I think they are incorporating a throwing motion into their swings....just like you're pitching a baseball or serving a tennis ball

  • Its called swinging in TGM terms, he is using centrifugal force to release the golf club and doesnt really even need the right hand on the club at that time in the swing. Take a look at Hogan or Jb holmes and you will see the other side of the spectrum called Hitting where the right wrist is bent at impact and is used more in a thrusting centripital force. Hope I got those spellings correct. Check out The Golfing Machine it will anwser all your golf questions.
