My White Bellied Caique and Lutino Lovebird wrestle and play

This is video of my White Bellied Caique, Pooter and my 8 month old baby lovebird Big-Bird (who I hand raised). They love spending time together on top of Pooters cage. He is ULTRA gentle with her and she is SO patient with him in return. I think the reason for this bond and play time is Big-Bird wants Pooter to be her girlfriend. She is almost always the instigator! She will spread her wings out in a mating display sometimes which is how I discovered she was female! Pooter will take cues from her and respond very gently. If Big-Bird protests, he will back off. It's amazing to watch these two and they can spend hours together. It's a pretty unique bond they share and while it's cute to watch, it's only allowed under VERY close supervision. I will be posting some more video of these two rolling, preening and wrestling.
