I was a fan of the Spiderman comics way before the movie. Tobey Maguire was the perfect Spiderman. They could've cast some pretty boy, and ruin the character like they did with Superman Returns. Tobey was exactly what Peter Parker was supposed to be, an average looking guy.

Believe me, it's all a matter of taste. He may not look like the rugged model type, but I think he is very attractive, even if he was penniless and/or not famous at all, and even by average standards most definitely not ugly or one of the ugliest. Again, it's also a matter of taste, one might think emma stone is the prettiest while another one will think she is horrendous and will think of someone else as more attractive.
