Dark Oz movie trailer (Fake)

The trailer concerns the Gnome King's invasion of The Emerald City, an all out war which threatens the existence of even the immortal inhabitants of Oz. The strain of subjugation has taken its toll on Dorothy's companions from her first trip to that magical land. The Tin Man is now a full fledged war machine, heartless since that sympathetic organ has been stolen. The Cowardly Lion is near feral thanks to months of torture, lashing out in fear and rage at friend and foe. The Scarecrow, sans confiscated brain, is a mad philosopher. When Dorothy is summoned via another terrible tornado she lands in the midst of the conflict as the Gnome King prepares total reign. However, with the Ruby Slippers to grant her an edge, she will form a covert resistance to end the tyrant's rule and bring back Ozma from her exile. Perhaps then, after her darkest adventure is over, she can return to her home once again.

Very well done! I especially like your use of the "Twister" clips! The clips involving armies indicates a change in the story I wish someone would pick up and write into a script. And I think Ofelia would make a uniquely different Dorothy! My only qualm: Where's the Wicked Witch of the West? Were I to pick a letter grade for this, I'd give it an A -

As for the Wicked Witch not being there...she kind of melted XD

This story is set after Dorothy went the first time. Now the Gnome King is in power :)

I thought I recognized a few of the clips. (Including the McDonough soundbyte!) :) LOVE the idea. Then again, Oz is a fanficcer's dream or nightmare because of the copious continuity bugs.

Are you familiar with the adventure game Emerald City Confidential? That actually nailed the right balance I think between darkness and characteristic Oz light heartedness. It also has a lot of the original characters :)

Oh please make more Oz trailers! I'd love to see an American Mcgee's Oz type verison of this. Maybe with like an older Dorothy returning? Just an idea. :]

Wow, that was excellent, very unsettling, and, with all the different footage, it still felt like an OZ movie.

I just learned that a film based upon Todd McFarlane's Wizard of Oz toy line is in the works. It's supposed to be much darker and set on epic scale.
