An excerpt from Hertzog's 'Aguirre the Wrath of God.' It's about another Aguirre, who was part of Pizarro's expedition to find the lost city of El Dorado. Delusional and drunk with power, Aguirre led his people to their doom. Of course, any resemblance to any person currently living is purely coincidental.

  • its really good...i liked it much more than Fitzcaraldo. Its one of the best movies ive seen.

  • There are a good handful of, erm, "arty" films that have been well received by the critics that I would call boring. Aguirre is not one of them. This is a masterpiece.

  • Absolutely incredible acting.

Villon...

  • Have I just watched this movie??

    maybe the opposite...

I'm feeling like someone stared at me for

the last hour and a half.

  • Klauss Kinsky is a god in this movie... amazing acting.

  • Well said, friend.

Its O.K. to share your opinion. Its good. If you didnt like the movie. Thats fine.

The movie wasnt attended to deliver action or a great story in my opinion. Its trying to deliver a piece of reality. Trying to show the reality of beeing in a completely new world in around 1516 where everything is unknown.

But: its always the same with art. If one doesnt like something...thats O.K. Find something else. Still you can say: I dont like it!!

In my case: I love the movie.

  • You have a point. I watched this after seeing the actual film, to recall better of some moments. I didn't dislike the film entirely, I liked some parts, but, overall, I was bored most of the time. I can't help it. I would have liked to enjoy it, but I couldn't.

I ask myself too why people go to videos about things they don't like and then comment against it (like the neverending debate between Spaniards and Latin Americans about which dubbing is better, ours or theirs). I have my answer now.

  • @Ennio444 Well, different strokes for different folks.

Just curious, what motivates you to go to videos of movies you dislike? I only look up stuff I like on youtube.
