Isn't the goal of music be to express yourself, share your talent, and bare your soul to all that will listen? This whole "mainstream" business is bullcrap. The song sounds practically the same now as it did then. They didn't change their songs or the style to please the masses. The masses were just pleased by their songs and style. They're lucky, not sell-outs.

@DivorceTheSkyVLOGS Good to know, because I did hear the Young The Giant version first, then Darren Criss'. Darren's style was similar to this one. That's why I didn't like the Young The Giant version. I agree this version is much better.

Interesting that they made 2 slightly different versions of the song as the band evolved. I personally like the "Young The Giants" (other) one better (for one it's longer!) but it's cool to see how a few minor changes alter the song, even slightly.

@SakuraMochiKitty this version is different from the newer one that they recorded as Young The Giant. there are less "oh"s, he only uses I once in the chorus, his pitch is higher. all around, I personally like this version better.
