Just trying to get in the swing of things again.

Sorry, it's a quick capture (I lost my editing software), but I got a new camera finally!

Why do I make videos?

To paraphrase Sam Harris, I want my atheism to fade into the background, and I want to merely be a person who destroys bad ideas wherever he finds them - whatever form they might take.

I don't have time to watch very many videos AT ALL these days, so I don't have a lot of ideas at the moment (most of my past videos have been direct or indirect responses to other videos and comments).

Sam Harris on the "dangers" of atheism:

("11:55 - 12:27. There's the meat. Every atheist/agnostic should take note." -graciousSenor)

Dan Dennett on religious education:

book: "Why Christianity Must Change or Die" by John Spong

  • Hey, glad to see another vid from you. I don't watch many vids now myself, so I definitely understand.

I think the atheist/Skeptic crowd on YouTube should really tackle things other than religion. We need to educate and tear down some of blatantly false ideas out there.

  • @imrational , I agree! :)

    Sponnnnnnggggg!

  • @theqmogvlogs where you realise being a muslim and an atheist is entirely possible. Allah does not have to translate as god, it can simply be the greater, the "all" heaven and hell can display themselves as experiences in this life, its a strange strange place and no muslim here would accept it , perhaps few in the real world either, I don't expect any atheists would either but the truth is extremism, dogmatism and fanaticism aren't healthy for anyone, no matter the belief system.

  • its interesting, taking a break from here gave me time to learn to get past frustration and anger and see Islam and religion in a more relaxed light. I will be honest and say I have decided if you remove the superstition, the context of the time and the belief in infallibility and you strip things down to the bare bones, a man trying to improve on his culture the best he could without going so far as to completely alienate himself you may find yourself in a strange ground where ...

  • I agree totally, we have to remember that its the believers that are the weird ones!!
