@saiyaniam well i wouldnt drop the bar because then as you said the spotters would do nothing. there is no support rack, these are just squat stands. and it's very unlikely that i collapse or need to instantly relax but if i do i guess we're all fucked.

Sure if you just slowly fail to get back up they could aid you. But what if you all of a sudden collapse? Or need to instantly relax (a sudden injury or something)
I don't do lifting comps, so I'm guessing it's a requirement?

@saiyaniam Well I'm not gonna be dropping the bar if I miss the squat - the squatters would only have to take 50kg of tension between them for me to be able to stand up pretty easily even after failing a rep

Nice squat. I don't see the spotters helping though at that weight. Most likely get hurt.

ha ha... if you can even post a video of you walking this weight out without getting crumpled i'd be surprised. probably can't even unrack it.
you think i get 200lb of carryover from single ply gear? i wish... i'd be breaking national records...
