Unholy Night" - a roaming audio performance art piece by Braden Diotte and Jason Soares. Influenced by Phil Klines' Unsilent Night, the piece works by the combination of multiple boomboxes playing one of several audio tracks in a geographic locale. Designed to be very dissonant and reminiscent of the spooky holiday season, the juxtaposition of sounds and interaction with the surroundings should create a festive and entertaining evening. We will meet at the Gaslamp Trolley Station at 5th and Harbor at 6:40pm, sync our boomboxes, and at 7:00pm walk through the streets of San Diego's Gaslamp District, up to Horton Plaza. The 30-minute piece is designed for maximum audio disruption and the larger the boombox the better. Costumes and spontaneity are a plus!
