Now then, I'd like to say that mecha in Gekiranger SUCK. The gattai sequences are lame, and in fights they're really. Jan is more then a match for Maku on his own, and then Gekifire and GekiTojahWolf get owned by him when he's a giant.

this is how sentai goes mainly. the villians get an extra boost of power when enlarged. Besides this is Gekiranger, not the Jan kandou show. You complained about the red guy getting the spotlight, but when the team is included in the win, it's more complaining?

Well the team was included in the win, but Jan still owned Maku on his own when everyone else got their asses kicked. At least this sort of thing didn't happen later.

they wouldn't have gotten such a beating if they were like Jan and Rio and Master Shafu, who can feel raw power in others and within themselves. That is why Jan gave them the speech, everyone already was exposed to the Beast Power Bloom. Jan feels power more than thinking about power, a key method of Jyuken that was once quoted by Barusa Ii, the creator of the art.
