Nimir Rishmawi, born in 1945 in Beit Sahour city " biblically Shepherd Field".

He studied in Beit-Sahour school for children till the seventh grade and then he left the school to start his career life, he worked in many different careers moving from one to another until he started working in olive wood carving in 1963.

In 1969 he was made his own small workshop " Shepherd Field Artistic Workshop" that was at the back of his home, in 1970 he was married to his wife " Shamma" and they were blessed by three children.

Because he was blessed to make an artificial work and with determination and support from his wife and children his workshop was growing year after a year like one of his children up till now.

In 2004 he was invited to attend the "Jerusalem fund conference" in the USA that was focusing on the olive tree and its uses, and he had his unique input in it since he represented the olivewood industry in the holy land.

  • thou shalt not make for thyselves any graven images

  • @Biblewolf but in the same book in Chapter 25, Yahwe asked Moses to make sculptures of angels, and Yahweh himself took the form of human being, also after resurrection, Saint Mark draw several icons for Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus, which was spread all over the churches in and out the holy land!

  • @Biblewolf in addition he said that for other Gods not himself!

  • @Biblewolf thyselves does it mean myself?

  • @saheralsous ye i know, but its good practice before Prophethood thats was my whole point.

  • @ViciousBeats16 so what? The Lord let them to lead, not the sheep,,, that's what you have to understand

  • @saheralsous whatever dude you killin me lol. some prophets were shepherds. bottimline thats a fact.

  • @ViciousBeats16 sheeps can no way be compared to humans, because the nature of the sheeps is to be in groups, following the donkey, and they don't have a personal agenda as human beings, in addition there are no leaders inside the sheeps that can change the route of the way as humans. also all the sheeps aren't smart as human, while there are many humans smarter than the prophets, and its all about God, not the shepherdhood to let people follow the prophet, as i told you before....

  • @saheralsous metaphorically being a shepherd prepares you for prophethood. As your main job is to call people to the oneness of Allah. and to worship him. as a shepherd you have to keep every sheep together, and you have to be paitent. as sheep are very slow and sensitive. As it takes some time for people to believe in a prophet and his message, so again being a shepherd has alot of wisdom behind the job.

  • @ViciousBeats16 Dear. it seems that you or who said that being Shepherd is to be a leader is in mistake, for your info, shepherds always used a donkey to be with the sheeps, because they always follow it, and they just ride the donkey, even IF Moses was a shepherd, most of the prophets weren't you can check their life, Adam wasn't, Yousef wasn't, Jesus wasn't and so on.. if the Lord can't help the prophet to lead the people, then the sheep will NOT!
