A Bartlesville High Bruin and a College High Wildcat have been carved from the stump of a massive old elm tree on the north end of the Bartlesville High School campus. The Col-High Class of 1957 raised the money to hire sculptor Clayton Coss to carve the Wildcat and post-1982 alumni were asked to pay for the Bruin. The sculpture was created March 10-13, 2008 as shown in this timelapse movie.
