There's a long story behind this video...
Three days after we returned from the Arctic Equestrian Games, Rachel started complaining of pains in her back and right-hand side. After a week of repeated visits to the doctors and treatment that didn't work, she was admitted to hospital where she was diagnosed with osteomyelitis, an infection that attacks bones; in this instance, one of the vertebrae in her back. She is now fully recovered and back to riding but it was a stressful time for all of us while she was ill.
We were very grateful to all her friends for helping us out with the ponies during this time (and for the numerous hospital visits they made). Therese, the girl featured in this video helped train Rebel while Rachel was ill and took him in a couple of classes at a competition held at our club on 14th-16th March 2008.
In the first class shown in this video, Therese came first AND second =D but only placed second on Rebel... she went quicker by almost a second on her horse! =O In the second class, Therese was easily first, ahead by almost 3 seconds.
Note: Because of her age, Therese no longer competes as a pony rider in pony classes so was riding Rebel in horse classes. The height of the fences was 1.10 metres (approx 3ft 6inches - slightly higher).
I usually pick the music to my videos carefully so that pictures and music blend in some way but this is a little bit random. "Begging You" by Madcon was very popular in Norway at the beginning of the year and we always imagine they're singing "Rebby, Rebby Roo", which is our pet name for Rebel (it's also the name that his previous owner Chloe used to use as well).
I don't know whether Rebel has ever seen an Easter egg before but he made a good effort at trying to find his way to the chocolates inside!
Finally, Rachel had been allowed out of hospital for a couple of hours to watch the riding... she was supposed to be taking things easy, not getting on Rebel :-D

Hi there wantsomebutter - the pain was very localised and got worse over a period of four / five days. I doubt that you have the same problem as Rachel :-)
