ボンさいこー!!
来年は絶対再演希望!!

this "bon" is a Japanese Buddhist term, in no way related to the bon in bonfire. It just happens to be a convenient homonym.
-
Bon festival is Japanese traditional summer-night event.
It may have same name as UK's festival, but there is nothing to do with it.
It coincidently got the name when translated in english (in japanese, it's bon-odori).
It's a festival for dead people like Halloween.

I guess the festival is Guy Fawkes' Day. In Japan we light fires to speed the spirits back to the other world in every summer.
I visited UK this summer on business.Someday I would like to watch that festival.

I know this was in Japan. But Bonfire night is a British Festival...
-
how is this in any way british????
