Doraemon "walking and talking" alarm clock

This a Doraemon alarm clock purchased in Taiwan for NT$129 (~ US$4) at a KFC, of all places. (It was their promotional toy.) When the alarm goes off, it plays a custom recording repeatedly while it "walks" around your nightstand, turning when it hits an obstruction or reaches a ledge. It doesn't fall over the edge!

Yes, well it can somehow detect when it's reached an edge or a obstacle so it can turn to avoid it.
