Hey Jude

Here is my *new* cover of "Hey Jude" by the Beatles. I originally recorded the piano part back in Feb. 2008, creating only a rudimentary instrument and vocal mix.

The vocals on the old video were pretty shoddy; I've always wanted to re-do it. Fast-forward 19 months later, I resurrected the old piano video, but completely recorded new vocals and added more instrumentation.

First, using an old bootleg recording of the Beatles performing "Hey Jude," I isolated (and borrowed) just the drums and rhythm guitar. Those parts in my mix are performed by Ringo Starr and John Lennon, respectively. My parts include (using my digital piano):

*Piano (obviously)
*Bass
*Two Strings sections
*Two Horns sections
*Timpani

And my own vocals:
*Lead vocal
*Harmonizing backing vocal
*Three-part harmony chorus backing vocals (during verses)
*Ten-part unison chorus vocals (during coda)
