looks like most comments favor cummins, even when one blows up!! ha ha ha So do I, and most mechanics I know call the powerstroke, even the 444/7.3 a piece of shit. where do I work? International! DT466, 530 and 570 are liked much better. You won't find a v8 diesel in a semi. they were kind of rare and everyone went back to inlines for numerous reasons including the tiny cranks that v blocks have in comparison to Inline sixes
