  • Tara, is yoga your main activity? You mention yoga as great for weight loss. I can see how it plays a role in controlling your mood and appetite but with lots of excess weight don't you think something that increases heart rate/fire element would be a great or a necessary addition? I see fat as excess fluid/dampness so generating fire through intense activity helps to transform your body. Is yoga REALLY the answer?

  • @123martyna HI! Yes. Yoga is my main activity. . . although I walk everywhere and take the stairs :) It depends on how and what kind of yoga you're doing whether it is the best thing to do for physical activity regarding exercise. How I do and teach yoga elevates the heat rate and is a major "workout". people are drenched after class and our room is room temp. We work with a lot of runners also who use yoga to keep them healthy and improve performance time. keep in touch!

  • i love these videos you're doing now, it makes me feel more like one on one or like it's for real and stuff :)

  • calm? the music at the start is kind of ironic then :P

  • You are breath of fresh air to the yoga community. I really like your style of teaching of yoga. I'm looking forward to reading your book.

  • you are so cool and calm person..love ya..=) <333

  • @mytuba ohh.. duh. haha :) i had no idea.

  • I absolutely adore your personality! I think sometimes I watch your videos just to see your persona..you truly are unique Tara :)

I find it hard to focus when I do yoga because I'm a very impatient person by nature, it shows in everything that I do and it really affects how successful my life is =/ My question to you is, how long do you think it'll take before yoga can help me liften up my mood, patience, etc.? As you may already know, college is starting again and I'd like to start fresh!

  • @mytuba but it's loaded with sugar so it's unhealthy, and water's only good for you. :)

  • Hallo Tara and a great thank you from Germany!

  • @TaraStilesYoga You obviously have a pretty challenging yoga class:) BUT imho.. all the extra walking, stairs, biking (i see bikes behind u ha), you obviously eat very well, AND doing yoga a lot. ON TOP OF already being very lean (so you don't have to "diet".. just "maintain", makes it more than possible for you to keep your great body.

Weightlifting or "harder yoga" aka body weight calisthenics would be a great addition. Its just that the harder yoga moves for overweight ppl might be too dema

  • Thanks for the tips. I tried camomile tea for relaxation but found a little smoke of some quality weed and loud music before bed did the trick. Is that something you would recommend?
