@swordmaster39 recent archeological studies found evidence of scribes recording Achilles among the forces of the grecian armies. these guys weren't poets but historians recording for the future. they would not have added a soldier too their list simply for the fun of it. he may not have been the invincible, dipped-in-the-river-styx badass he was in the myths, but he did exist and he was a fantastic warrior

@jackparovv the Maximus in Gladiator was, but there was a roman general named Maximus who was the inspiration for Maximus' character in Gladiator.

@TheMostEpicNameEver dude get your facts right... achilles existed as a soldier, he was highly skilled and thought of immortal by his men, and he was no God... leonidas of sparta was real, theres a bloody statue in greece of him.... and there was a gladiator who story almost matches maximus' but there name would have been somthing else..
