Images of Colonel Muammar el-Gaddafi and America's Raytheon-built $1.1 million dollar Tomahawk. About $250 million dollars worth were launched in the first several days. The Tomahawk is a submerged submarine-lauched, long-range 1,350 mile (2,500 kilometer), all weather, subsonic (500 mph-880 kmh) cruise missile. Originally introduced by General Dynamics in the 1970s and most recently improved and built by Raytheon. It is a medium to long range, low altitude missile, single turbo jet fan powered. Each missile is stored and launched from a pressurized canister which also serves as its launch tube. The Tomahawk is lauched from a submerged submarine (both UK and USA) and is ejected vertically by gas pressure or horizontally via torpedo tubes through water impluse. Once the missile exists the surface of the water a solid-fuel booster is ignited for several seconds of airborne flight and a small jet-fan engine propells its during its cruise fight. Once airborne the Tomahawk's wings unfold, and an air intake scoop is lowered for its jet-fan engine. During its cruise the Tomahawk uses intertial guidance and/or GPS to follow a preset course over water to its target. Over land the Tomahawk several guidance applications are used such as Terrain Contour Matching (TERCOM) and Digital Scene Matching Area Correlation (DSMAC). Gaddafi wanted to trade oil for golden dinar cions only, and he had 140 ton of gold. Britan have 280 tons, but 5 times the people. The US and western countrys could not pay in gold, so we killed him. US is always a coward!

Small correction the tomahawk is not a ballistic type missile it is a cruise missile the difference being a ballistic missile has a guided assent and free falling desent a cruise missile is guided all the way in to the target
