Whether this was done purposely or not, Serious Question. Can this happen to a parachute? The paraglide and chute kinda look the same.

@cristihutan You're wrong. Unless what you suggested to do with a car asimmetric collapses do happen frequently in strong thermics or in turbolence. By simulating it often in a controlled environment makes you learn how to recover your glider when you really need it. As a result, having thus learned how to recover your glider, you DO fly safer.

he did it on purpose , what if you do same, thing while driving a car, at 120 km per hour, and suddenly turn the steering wheel to the right all the way, what a nice crash would be , right?
lets get serious do not play with your life, its to precious. > GOD bless all and fly safely

very nice handling on the glider, he pulls the a-raisers to make this collapse. But he reacts quickly and weightshift and applies some brake on the "flying side"
-
Did that on purpose, you can see the hand pulling hard the risers. Do not spread the "risky sport" shit if you don't know what is all about! I bet you drove your car with more than 100 km/h all the time. Do you know that none of the cars are tested at more than 80? HA, I bet you will think twice next time! :))

he breaked on one side..
What is the DHV rating on this wing? It looked remarkably docile considering how much of the wing was pulled.
