@migely No Christian that I know "wprships" a painting. The paintings just help to put a face on Jesus, and his love for us. If the painting were to burn, or be destroyed, no Christian would think their God was burned or destroyed, it is just an image It is not idolatry

This painting is an illustration for all Christians to realize that we are the light in this dark and sinful world and through that light hopefully people will be able to see Christ through our actions(light). I challenge you to research the Bible and the history of the Bible before you make a final decision about it's relevance in this world.

Nonsense. You talk in the rhetoric that has no meaning outside of to prove to others how goody-goody and holier-than-thou you are. You can't have a relationship with the dead, unless you count an imaginary relationship.

Why not have a relationship with reality? Is your life that pitiful and your fear of reality so great that you must live in rhetoric and imagination. You will die one day. There is no way out. The worms will eat you. Now is the time to live.

Frankenstein was in a dream of mine the other night. Your reality is based upon dreams? That is foolish.

Jesus was a real human being and not a dream. That is reality. He said that he would come back in the flesh during the lifetime of his apostles. That is reality. He did not and Paul did a lot of explaining to keep people from leaving the church. That is reality.

Jesus wasn't God. That is reality. You practice idolatry. That is reality. Why not become free?

man he's still alive and he visits those whom seek him dearly. God is same yesterday today and forever He visited us then and He still visits those who ask Him. Jesus came to me in my dream so I don't know why you're trying to be legalistic open your eyes and don't limit God. God can do whatever He wants to do whenever He wants and however he wants to do. He is not in a box as you put Him. don't insult God with rules. Jesus broke rules because He is God He does whatever He wants.

Jesus never wrote a single word.

The New Testament was written decades after his death by men who never met him.

Some of the New Testament was written a century after his death.

There are NO contemporary portraits of Jesus. The first portraits were drawn 250 - 300 years after his death.

No one knows how Jesus looked. The painting is really an idol as people pray to its image. It is also a work of wishful fantasy.

Jesus would not approve of such idolatry and arrogance.
