Creaky/squeaky D-pad on the PSPgo. Proof to those who think that the PSPgo D-pad doesn't squeak, it does-- just like all other PSP models.

  • This is how my new Nintendo 3DS is like. It sucks

Yeah, my 3DS also had the same problem... but I noticed some dust/dirt was rubbing against the side of the D-pad and after cleaning that out, the creaking stopped! So take a look, you might be able to fix it.

  • how is the responsiveness of the dpad buttons? i have the old psp fat and had to mod it in order to play fighting games. the dpad was too shallow into the system so i couldnt do any moves.

I haven't played fighting games like Tekken on the PSP, but yours is a common complaint. I know that the PSP-2000/3000 has a more raised D-pad. But as to the PSPgo, the d-pad is more shallow but the buttons don't need to go down as far, it's more of a clicky feel which I find to be very responsive. I do d-pad combo presses on games like Twisted Metal: Head On & I find it to work fairly well. Responsiveness is very god.

    That sounds majorly annoying. ><

  • @Doppelgangergang - enhh, I wouldn't say it's any more annoying than the creakiness on my PSP-1000/2000 models. But I mostly play my PSPs wearing earbuds, so I don't hear the squeaking that much.
